Age of Empires 2 Cheats

This is a complete list of all cheat codes for Age of Empire 2. To enter a cheat code, press the Enter key during the game. This will bring up the chat box. Type in the cheat, and press Enter again to activate the cheat.

  • !mute

    Don't like taunts? This cheat will silence them.

  • !nomute

    This cheat will turn on taunts, such as "Attack them now!"

  • aegis

    This cheat will let building, researching, resource gathering, and training be completed instantly. When this cheat is turned on, it is turned on for all players, including AI. Turn this cheat off by entering it again.

  • alpaca simulator

    This cheat will give you Alfred the alpaca, which looks like a llama and wears a golden crown. It attacks by headbutting the enemy. With its high trample damage and armor, Alfred is excellent in melee combat. However, its lack of speed and ranged attack make it vulnerable against ranged units.

  • black death

    This cheat will kill all other players except yours. Enemies and allies will be killed.

  • cheese steak jimmy's

    This cheat will give you 10,000 food.

  • furious the monkey boy

    This cheat will give you Furious the Monkey Boy, an ape that attacks by bashing enemies with his hand. Furious can destroy buildings quickly. However, with only 9 hit units, Furious is easily overpowered.

  • how do you turn this on

    This cheat will give you an AC Cobra Car, a siege weapon that is powerful against buildings. It has 500 hit points. Be careful with the AC Cobra as it can harm friendly units caught within its blast radius.

  • i don't exist

    This cheat will give you Penguin, an infantry unit with 64 hit units and enhanced attack against buildings and stone defenses.

  • i love the monkey head

    This cheat will give you a VMDL. VMDL stands for "Villager Male Dave Lewis," and is named after an Ensemble Studios employee. VMDL is a fast scout that is useful for exploring, but cannot attack. However, when garrisoned within a building, will grant that building an attack bonus.

  • i r winner

    This cheat will declare you as the winner.

  • lumberjack

    This cheat will give you 10,000 wood.

  • marco

    This cheat will reveal the entire map. Enter the cheat again hide what you and your allies have not explored.

  • natural wonders

    This cheat will transfer control of your civilization to nature. You will no longer be able to control your units or buildings. This cheat is irreversible and you will need to start a new game if you want to control your civilization.

  • ninjaconnor

    This cheat will give you 10,000 of all resources (food, wood, stone, and gold.)

  • ninjalui

    This cheat will give you 10,000 of all resources (food, wood, stone, and gold.)

  • polo

    This cheat removes the fog of war and lets you all of your enemies units and buildings. Enter the cheat again to turn this off.

  • resign

    This cheat will make you lose the game instantly.

  • robin hood

    This cheat will give you 10,000 gold.

  • rock on

    This cheat will give you 10,000 stone.

  • rowshep

    This cheat will give you 10,000 of all resources (food, wood, stone, and gold.)

  • to smithereens

    This cheat will give you a Saboteur, a hero suicide unit. He has 45 hit points and is best for attacking buildings.

  • torpedo #

    This cheat will kill the target civilization. Enter the number of the civilization you want to kill.

  • wimpywimpywimpy

    This cheat will kill of your units and force you to resign from the game.

  • woof woof

    This cheat will convert birds into Stormy Dogs, flying dogs with red capes. There is no change to the gameplay.
